During the 2009 Associated Builders and Contractors Excellence in Construction competition, Riley Palmer Construction received top honors with an Eagle Award for the Gem Collection project located in Tallahassee, Florida.  This Design/Build project is unique to the Tallahassee area.  This building includes a vault encompasing the entire first floor,  The first floor consist of a showroom and offices.  The second floor includes a breakroom, conference room, executive offices, a jewlery fabrication room and additional space for jewlery displays as well as private showings.  The construction of the first floor entailed placing over 120 tons of reinforcing steel and pouring over 500 cubic yards of high strength concrete into the wall, floor and ceiling for a 12 inch thick security barrier.  The front vestible includes a 4 wide by 8 foot tall stainless steel vault door.  A second  vault door is located on the back of the building.  Other features include parallel / redundant security systems, CCTV security cameras, specialty lighting and high end finishes.

During the 2007 Associated Builders and Contractors Excellence in Construction competition, Riley Palmer Construction received top honors with an Eagle Award for the MainStay Suites project located in Port St. Joe, Florida.  This prototype project included the construction of a three story, 70 room all suite extended stay hotel.  Ammenities includ a full kitchen in every guest room, guest laundry facilities, guest fitness center and a pool.  Upon completion of the project, Riley Palmer Construction was listed as a preferred contractor for the Choice Hotel brand for our design innovations and project coordination as this was only the second time this prototype design had been constructed in the United States.

Riley Palmer Construction Company has received four safety awards for 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009 from Associated Builders & Contractors for our outstanding safety program and daily commitment to the safety and welfare or our employees and subcontractors. 

We were awarded the Platinum Level for all four years which is the highest level that can be received by a company.  Our low workers compensation rates are a direct correlation to our commitment to safety. 

Our safety program is consistently monitored through company wide bi-weekly safety meetings and a constant scrutiny of our project sites with respect to safe working conditions and above average project housekeeping.
